Nice SPA, poor service

The quality and comfort of the SPA is great. I'd buy the same SPA over and over again. The service and support, however, is very poor. I would not buy a HotSpring SPA ever again.
My hot tub arrived with a faulty panel mounting. It took weeks and weeks of back-and-forth between the dealer and manufacturer before it got fixed. (Which was supposed to be a quick warranty repair).

We liked our first one so well that we bought a new one when we moved after 10 years. Very reliable and efficient brand. we just have a small one, but it has all the jets and lights of other models. Easy to get in and out and the sliding cover is terrific.Highly recommended!

We enjoy it..

Over all, we do enjoy it. We have seen a spike of around $80 a month in our electric bill which was not expected. The water is good one day and the next the color is off. I am finding myself spending more time than I should trying to figure out how to get the levels right. When it’s in good shape, it was a good investment. Would I spend another $10,000 on it? Probably not.

Forced me to relax and awards great family time!

Still feels a bit surreal that we own a hot tub. Since this was such a large investment and commitment I wanted to make sure I bought a high quality hot tub. Additionally I wanted a hot tub that our family of 5 could all enjoy together. The HotSpring Pace with it's double lounger fit all the criteria perfectly. Although the hot tub can plug directly into a 115v outlet you will want to hire an electrician to bring 230v for maximum efficiency and use of heater & jets simultaneously. The optional Frog System also awards us with an easier water maintenance schedule.

The HotSpring Pace is the relaxation time and healing for my back that I didn't realize I needed. In addition, it forces my family to be together without our smartphones. The cost of these units are pricey (hence 4 out 5 in value) so it required savings our pennies.

If I had one criticism upon use after several months, it would be that I would like more jets. With that said I haven't sat in many other hot tubs so maybe it's not necessary but I enjoy the sensation the jets provide. I understand HotSpring's philosophy that more jets doesn't equal better, however I feel all seats should have full back coverage.

Lastly the pillows are oddly shaped, I feel there must be a better design for enhanced comfort.

We really like the Pace so far! Heats up quickly, great size for family of 4, and easy overall to maintain! The frog @ease system is great as long as you keep up on it and shock weekly. Overall very happy with the entire system!

Great tub, frog water treatment not the best

My family and I love our spa. It’s perfect price and value. Only complaint is the frog system. Our water is constantly green from the mixing of chemicals. Essentially, it does not hold chlorine despite turning the frog chlorine up to 6.

The few times we’ve added additional chlorine, it has caused the PH and alkalinity to fall off balance. This makes treating the water difficult. Shock treatments help.

It’s manageable, but takes time. Otherwise, great product and very comfy as we expected.

Fantastic unit! Very Thankful for the white glove delivery. The quality of the Pace unit is excellent, just what we were intending to get.

Biofilm problem with new HotSprings hot tub

We previously had a HotSprings tub for 24 years. Last month, we purchased a new HotSprings hot tub. When the shrink wrap was removed before installation the tub was wet. We discovered we had biofilm in our hot tub from day 1, and as a result, could not maintain an appropriate chlorine level. Newly manufactured hot tubs can indeed have biofilm if they are not completely dried before shrink wrapping and transport. We had our HotSprings dealer out to deal with the problem. They purged our valves, cleaned and drained the tub and replaced our water on 3/7. Our dealer did not change or clean the filter. We thought the problem was resolved. However, after a week and a half from the Dealer's efforts, we again have the green water, bad smell and a problem maintaining chlorine levels. We are highly disappointed to say the least.

Regarding the wetness of the spa upon arrival, please know that we conduct thorough wet-testing to ensure proper functionality and leak prevention before releasing the spas for delivery. Although some residual water may remain in the lines during transport, this should not result in uncontrollable water. We recommend super chlorinating the water during set up and maintaining it accordingly.

I am sorry that this process did not work out as expected for you. Rest assured, we will work together with you and the dealer to resolve this matter.

My wife and I are both very happy with our new spa. We previously had a Marquis spa, and the Pace is so much better in our opinion. Very comfortable, well-placed jets, maintains the heat. Absolutely no complaints thus far.

We had a 1993 prodigy which lasted 30 years. We were very happy with it - 115v, heated fast and worked well. 300 gallon tub. When it finally failed we decided to buy a Pace, which is another 300 gallon 115v tub. It takes Over 48 hours to reach operating temperature which is ludicrous. When we asked the dealer about it, we were told that this model doesn’t come with a circulating pump and that’s why it heats so slowly. We spent $11,000 on this tub and a circulating pump costs $200 MAX.

If we had known we would have to rewrite for 220 just to get the same performance as our 30 year old tub we would have bought something bigger! Very disappointed in the low build quality. Consider other manufacturers before this.
