Hoping A "Do Over" Will Make this Right

Did a lot of research before choosing a HotSpring spa. In aggregate, it was the best choice for me. In practice, not much fun so far. A number of technical and physical problems out of the gate: * Cracks in the bottom wood frame that had been stapled/screwed back together at the factory * A crack in the front panel door * Control panel software malfunction, unable to manage output of ACE salt system * New control panel installed and ACE salt system still not functioning properly * Grommets holding screws for front cover panels either missing, falling out or too deep into the holes making it tough for screws to catch. Made it very difficult to open/close panels and multiple screws severely stripped after just a couple of times opening/closing * After the control panel service, a tool and open lubricant holder left rolling around in the motor compartment by the service technician * An honest mistake from the local dealer installing a cover lifter which didn't do what I was told it would. Then removed and 12 screw holes in the side of the new spa filled and stained to match the exterior.
All that said, you would imagine that I would run away screaming as fast as I could and never wanting to have anything to do with this company again. Given the overwhelmingly positive customer reviews, I believe that this is an aberration. Even the best companies in the world have an occasional clunker [unfortunately it is in my backyard right now]. The HQ customer service, from Marianne, has been excellent and kept me from going over the deep end on a couple of occasions. Josie, at the local dealer, has also been very accommodating to help resolve the problems. Net of all this, they agreed that this entire experience needed to be fixed. They have quickly agreed that the tub will be replaced with a new one rather than firefight multiple issue. I think their response reflects the commitment to their customers and I will provide an add'l review after the new tub is installed. I believe that it will fulfill my expectations.

Lights in the Pulse spa have failed. Spa is about four and half years old, but usage has been minimal--once or twice/month. Local rep has been good in working with us but notes light warranty has expired, thus we will have to bear the costs (undetermined but significant) to repair. While we considered authorizing repairs, we are reluctant to do so based on customer reviews on this site which indicate (1)lighting problems with Limelight and other models appear to be common, and (2)repairs often do not resolve the problem in the long run. Bottom line: lighting problems seem to be a systemic quality problem with these spas and we feel HotSprings should step up and be responsible for correcting the faulty product.

All the lights went out. Did you get this resolved and did Watkins help out? This is frustrating, given this is one of the most expensive brands out there. I have contacted local service and will see what happens.

Having taken some time shopping around we finally settled for a Pulse, having tested one in our local dealers.
This is now our favorite place to relax after a hard days work looking out over our garden. The jets provide a great massage, far better than many other hot tubs in a similar or lower price range, and it holds it temperature really well.
We were advised to get the ACE system and so glad we did, the water maintenance is easy and the water is always crystal clear and comfortable.
Anita and the team at Hotspring world Derby provided superb customer support, she has advised us well and supported us all the way through our ownership, great service and real credit to hotsprings.

This is our second hot tub and our first Hot Springs. The quality is far beyond the competitors offerings in the same class. We are very happy with the jet configurations and many pump speed combinations. This has been a wonderful addition to our backyard oasis.

We love love love!!! our Hot Springs Hot Tub. Had it for 5 years, and works basically like new. My only real issues have been easy to fix for my dealer. The cover straps are really terrible, and I have had to use something heavy to hold it down for a number of years...

You bring up a good point about the cover straps. They are, by design, a safety feature to keep small kids out of the tub. If a toddler were to try to lift the cover, the cover straps/clips would prevent them from opening it. However, if there was high winds or harsh weather the cover straps/clips would not hold the cover down. This is my second Hotsprings spa and I have never had a problem with either one.. They are always ready to jump in and the temp holds perfect even in 20 degrees outside air temperature. It's very economical . After having a pool the last 2 houses I have owned I would never have another one. The cost and problems associated with a pool are way too expensive. I would never buy any other brand besides the Hotsprings spa line.. Great engineering throughout the stereo system to the ease of draining and startup.. love it !

3 years old and looks and runs like brand new. With all of the settings there is no place on your body that doesn't get massaged. Beautiful lights and settings for relaxation! Easy to take care of and Ohio Pools is outstanding for providing help if needed.

The ACE system was not worth the extra money. The ACE system always flashes display panel error, and each time the hot tub tech comes out to fix it. The error comes back 2-3 hours after he left the house.
The Pulse control panel is hard to understand and menu button selections are not intuitive.
The Pulse cover that the unit came with does NOT cover the control panel well. I had to purchase another wrap cover for the winter to protect the panel from snow.
In summary the tub has been way too much maintenance and lack of performance than I expected.

I bought this Hot tub in June 2011. Like others who have posted, it worked great for a while, but I started having issues with the lights not working about 15 months in. The dealer/HotSpring sent a technician out to fix them, but they quickly went south again a couple months later. All in all, they have been "fixed" three times, but now are completely not working (not a single light comes on). I recently asked for them to come back out and "fix the fix", but they told me I am out of warranty and the would not cover the cost. Given that this issue started while I was in warranty and never truly got fixed, I am obviously disappointed.
I can not recommend this hot tub because of these issues and the manufacturer's most recent response.

We recently bought a Limelight Pulse and absolutely love it. Our salesperson, Adrienne, was so helpful before the sale and continues to answer any questions we have about cleaning and maintaining the hot tub. The delivery guys were very prompt and professional and clearly knew what they were doing when they delivered our hot tub. We have been impressed with everyone at Hot Springs of Music City. The Pulse is perfect for our back porch and we love sitting in it with the awesome lights on every evening we are able to. Our kids love it to and we all enjoy hanging out together in our hot tub. Fun for the whole family.

I purchased the Limelight Pulse about 6 months ago, I love it! It is VERY relaxing! HOWEVER, I have had 75% of my jets come off! The dealer has had AMAZING customer service, and has come out every time within 24 hours to remedy the problem, they have had to make 3-4 service calls for this issue. I'm happy with my Limelight Pulse, but for as much money as I spent on it, I'm worried about issues like this after my warranty expires.

We resolved this tooling issue last year & made replacement jet rings available to all dealers as needed. We have purchased the pulse spa with great anticipation for spring to arrive, We are living with my daughter and husband to help with three new babies and in the spring will be returning to our house on the lake . At that time we will install our new pulse tub with the ace system .
I am apprehensive after reading all the reviews about the cleaning system we choose and the tub , ten thousand is a lot of money for us , while I have cancer and other medical issues I am looking forward to resting in my new tub. Unbelievable! Our Pulse was just delivered on this Thursday night and was hooked up on Friday by our licensed electrician. After several hours of waiting for our new hot tub to heat up, we noticed the 230v breaker kept tripping. Our electrician made a trip out again on Saturday at our expense because there were no technicians available and no way to reach Hot Springs. We noticed that there were copper lines and other things not connected. After spending a lot of time checking it out thoroughly, working with the dealer and the electrician, it was decided the heater does not work. We were told that Monday is the earliest that someone can come out. Nice, beautiful peak season New England fall weekend wasted because of poor quality control. So much for every hot tub being tested before it ships out. Very concerned now that our unit may actually freeze if something is not done right away. In our part of New England, it is not uncommon to see freezing temperatures and snow this time of year. You only get one chance to make a good impression, and so far, we are not impressed. Hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

I have had this hot tub for about 4 years now. From six months in under warranty the lights died! I called the dealer where purchased and they sent a tech out whom spent the whole day ripping foam from my tub to repair lights! After a couple days he got it up and working.. A week later same thing no lights! Multiple attempts and revisits to my home to repair and replace lights just to fail shortly thereafter. In the meantime after many of these failed visits I had to add 3 inches of water a week, I cant find the leak! The last trip which without exaggeration was trip number 12ish and the warranty was up. They repaired the lights one last time feeling bad they hadn't rectified the situation earlier. This time the lights worked for 2 weeks before failing again. I just refilled the tub from last winter and 1 light came on I was almost excited, I couldn't shut it off or get the others to work, but I had 1 light! I shut the power off to the tub and turned back on in hopes I could reset the lights! Wishfull thinking, the light went out and all still remain broken.. Great news is, I now add 4 inches of water per week to this just over 4 yr old tub! Not a happy camper, Tub is junk and manufacturer must know of the many complaints! For the money spent on this tub, I should have got at least a few more years out of it! Mind you I only have it filled during the winter, so I really got taken!! Buyer BEWARE!

Bought new in 2008 and have had a problem with the lights since day one. We have had two leaks, this one being not under warranty. I am just wondering what else to expect to go wrong with it? I have read a lot on the internet of complaints about this model and year. I love the model and the colors and the lights (when they work), and that was one of the reasons we bought it.

Had the lights replaced 3 times under warranty. They are out again. 2008 model. A real hassle. The tub itself works great, I am giving up on the lights. Sometimes there is 1 light on for no reason. Dealer tried hard to make it work. Don't get this model; get one with a solitary light.

Thank you for providing feedback about your Limelight model spa. I am glad to read that is has provided 6 years of enjoyment and not required service other than to the lights during the first couple of years. I would like to know more about your particular situation so will send you a direct email.
