When our 11 year old Sundance started to leak we decided to not put any more money into it and get a new tub...So far I love the Flair as it is worlds better then my last tub in terms of build quality/lights/waterfall/Bluetooth/Ace System comfort etc...Old tub didn't have a lounger so wanted to try one with the lounger. Concerned it wouldn't be big enough but for everyday use it is the perfect size. For a party not so much but that is fine. Like the ACE System so far but will reserve judgment on that until I have it working good for a bit...If you are considering Tubs I highly recommend Hot Spring and am a fan of the Flair...

I bought a new 2013 limelight flair from the dealer. so far I have had jets break off in the first year. now my control panel has a button that doesn't work when pushed. I have three LED lights that are not working. I owned a Jacuzzi for ten years and only changed the pump and head cushions in that time. if I knew all these problems I would have stuck with Jacuzzi. the best part of my hot springs spa is the ACE system.

The mechanical end and soaking experience are great the problems stem from the surround. For some reason it never properly fit around the spa and soon started warping. Part has been replaced which took almost a year due to the wrong size being delivered from the manufacturer. That replaced portion is now worse than the original and is warping like crazy and now there is warping occurring all around including some new cracks. I can't recommend this product as I don't know how long this surround will last. The dealer is trying to resolve the issue,but it's going into the second year.

I love, love, love my hot tub. I have had it since October of 2013 and use it almost daily. I have the ACE saltwater system and for the first 13 months it was awesome! So easy to maintain the water and worth the extra money....until...I did a water change in November. Since then, the ACE system has not worked. My local hot tub supplier advised me to contact Watkins (ACE manufacturer). I contacted the Watkins customer service rep, and went through all the requested steps of making sure my water was balanced, performed another water change, etc... but the ACE system still is not producing chlorine. I told him that my levels are checked weekly and have not changed, but I still went through a week of steps with no results. I asked him what to do next and he said to contact my local hot tub company. This has been very frustrating and I have hardly used my tub in the last month. Hot Springs hot tub great - ACE system was awesome, but is now problematic.

We have had this for 3 years now and I must say it is a lovely tub. The lights do go out of sync sometime but it is no bother.
The ACE system is another matter. After 3 years of working with me maintaining it, it has now stopped being able to measure the conductivity of the salt water and as such refuses to work anymore. Luckily it did not cost me anything and I just have to be more vigilant with adding chlorine.
All in all a very nice tub though !

I have had nothing but trouble with this spas lights. They are constantly broken and ultimately the system fails. My dealer eventually replaced the entire system and it lasted less than 3 months before once again several head broke. Of course it is out of warranty now so cannot even get the broken lights replaced. Watkins should do the right thing and recall these tub to correct the lighting issues.

The lights have an issue. When we had them set on red, one of two would flash blue. Then they started going out one by one. I just recently drained the tub and refilled it and the lights won't come on at all. I love this spa but the lights have always been an issue. When I asked about replacing them, I was informed that it could get costly. So, we have learned to live without the lights.

We always liked the idea of a hot tub to help us relax at the end of a busy day but were always concerned about the maintenance and hassle of running a spa. I am very glad to say these concerns have been completely misguided, these hot tubs take core of themselves!
The on going maintenance is very straight forward and takes minimum effort. The sales guy gave me a "dummy's guide" which takes all the hassle away.
I only wish I had done this years ago!

This was a great choice for a new hot tub owner. So energy efficient I do not notice the addition on my bill. The installers were friendly and explained the care in detail. There was one faulty part they found during install, but a new appointment was set quickly and they fixed everything fast.

I've owned the Flair for 4 months now. I use it 5 times a week. There is nothing better than after a long day at work jumping into this tub of pleasure. This tub literally and figurative uses hydrotherapy to massage away my stress. I look forward to getting in every night, but some nights I get home too late.
I would have rated it 5 stars across the board, but ease of water care, although easy, requires constant oversight. My water gets cloudy if I go more than 3 days without adding chemicals. Good thing I go in often!
As far as value goes, I believe in you get what you pay for. You can tell Hot Springs makes a quality hot tub by looking at it. You will really know when you get in. Powerful, quiet jets, and unique and stylish trim and tub design make this Hot Springs slightly more expensive than its competitors. But in my opinion, I made the right decision to go with a Hot Springs tub.

I sent years researching and waiting to get a hot tub. I spent the extra money to buy the hot spring flair rather than a cheaper model. I am really questioning why I spent so much more money because I have had nothing but problems. I had issues with the lights starting a month after purchase.
I continue to have issues with the lights. My concern is the fact that they have never been right and once the warranty goes I will have to be paying for this out of pocket My dealer has been great trying to make repairs but obviously I have a effective product because the lights keep falling off into the tub. I had to wait 6 months until I drained the tub to get the lights fixed.

We bought the Flair in September 2009 (traded in our first hot springs spa for a newer model). I was so excited about this hot tub specifically because of the cool lighting. However, it wasn't long until the first light was not in sync. Dealer came out and told us to reset the power. Then another out of sync...then lights started going out one-by-one. Now we have a total of 10 lights out and two out of sync - very disappointing because I really like this hot tub. And from what I understand it is quite an investment to get fixed. And now tonight we got a txt from our daughter and husband - they want to purchase their first tub from hot springs...and one they are considering is the Flair (not realizing that's the same one we have). I cannot in good conscious let them make such an investment without warning them about the lighting issues. P.S. I was also interested in the new cover that lifts to a roof but noticed it also has LED lighting, so wouldn't want to chance it.

I recently purchased a house with the Limelight Flair Spa and the lights aren't working. I spoke with the local authorized retailer about this and they said the model I have was made in 2008 which was the first year this model was manufactured. They said there was an issue with the lights on this model of spa that was manufactured in 2008 and that they recommend I change out all the lights and the light assemblies to fix the problem. They quoted me anywhere from $1500 - $2500 to fix the lighting issue I have because they have to take the sides off and dig out all the foam around the spa to change out the lights and lighting assemblies.

I recently ran into a problem with the lights on my Limelight Flair Hot Tub. I contacted Watkins Mfg. Corp consumer service center. Peggy went above and beyond to research my model and even though it was not under warranty and just outside the recall window, she sent a service tech out to repair the lights free of charge. From the time I contacted them to time of repair was less than ten days and would have been even faster if my schedule permitted. We are excited to be back to full use so quickly and appreciate their team effort.

May I ask what problem you were experiencing with your lights? Our problem was that all the lights went out at ONE time. It took over $300+ to fix most of the lights. Our vendor no longer sells this hot tub because of the lighting issues they experienced.

I've had my flair for 5 years now and things keep breaking. First the control board, then the iPod docking station, now the circulation pump is causing the heater to stop working and the lights stopped working. I realize is a few years old but for the cost I expect higher quality. This one will nickel and dime you too death. Dealer is always willing to fix it and help diagnose, but way too costly and a constant headache to deal with.
