My family and I have really enjoyed our new spa. The salt water system makes taking care of the hit tub a breeze. I enjoy the remote monitoring capabilitiy which allows me to keep an eye on the tub while I am away. The tub is a great place to socialize!

Great Decision!

We had a Pulse for sometime, but it was time to move up to a larger spa with the Moto Massage. Love the improvements with the Salt Water system, and the Moto Massage is worth the upgrade. JJ at Snake River of course did a GREAT job in getting us a great deal, and the staff at Snake River was awesome in getting our old spa out and our new one in!!

Over the 19 years, the tub developed leaks around the air inlets at five years causing the tub to drain half way and the tub was worked on under warrantee. At ten years, we had it taken to a shop to fix the leaks at a cost over over a $1000.00. They said that that model year, the joint compound they used for the piping was breaking down and they replaced some of the unions. After that fix, it started leaking in other areas and has leaked every since. I have been using stop leak to slow the leaks. I had to cut off a couple of the jets and plug the line because on manifold cracked. Electrically, I had to replace the relay panel twice and the heater once. The plastics on the control box is crumbling. I had to replace the caps that hold the filter in place because the started to disintegrate. Other than that, it has been a good tub...

Just a wonderful addition to our home. This is our 3rd tub by Hot Spring and we can't tell you how much of a value this adds to our world. We looked strongly at a variety of brands for this last purchase just to see what the competition was and there was no comparison in quality or offerings when it came to our decision. We went with salt water to match our in ground pool and Hot Spring is on top with the technology and offerings. No need to look elsewhere when shopping for a tub. Hot Spring is the only brand to buy.

Best decision we made. We love it. Easy to operate controls.
Dealer has been fantastic. Has answered every question and was quick to respond to problems.

Leaks, leaks, leaks

Like many, we purchased our unit in 2020 during Covid and waited more than six months for delivery (when we paid for the unit we were told 4 weeks for delivery). In hindsight, the unit had leaks immediately upon delivery, but we were new to hot tub maintenance and didn’t put it all together right away. We pay for a monthly valet service and the techs never notes the leaks. Even now, nearly three years in, we get monthly maintenance while we wait for repairs. There are clearly leaks and the valet tech never notes it. There were at least six maintenance attempts to identify sources of leaks and some repairs worked short term, but leaks always returned. A year after our purchase, we escalated with our vendor and the manufacturer and were told the timeline for warranty repair would be an additional 6-9 months. Here we are three years post purchase and in queue for the unit to be moved to a warehouse for repairs this month at last. The estimated timeline is 8-10+ weeks after pickup. Last year we were told 6-8 weeks for offsite repair and that they were working to get more techs to reduce the timeline. The timeline has slipped further. When we get the unit back eventually, we will be nearly out of the warranty window. Now that our unit is scheduled for picked up, there is total confusion about what is covered under warranty and valet contract. It could not have been a worse experience. This is a huge investment and we feel duped and dumped.

I'm sorry to hear about your frustrating experience with the leaking spa. It's even more aggravating when you don't realize it has been leaking for some time. However, having a comprehensive warranty is important, and the good news is that the leak has been documented. When it's reported, the clock stops, meaning the day you reported it will be recorded as the coverage day. Even if the repair takes weeks or months after the warranty expires, it will still be covered.

In some cases, customers may have to wait for better weather conditions before a repair can be made, and that time is not counted against the customer.

We have never owned a hot tub before so this was a little bit of a risk for us. After getting the spa, we could not be more happy. We use it every day. It is such a nice place to unwind and relax. We find the spa is a great place to share how our day went and to talk while enjoying. the soothing feeling of the warm water. We should of done it years ago.

We love our new hot tub. We purchased a Grandee Hot Tub and added a Covana electronic top.
We added in the saltwater system and maintenance is so simple. We love that the spa has 6 seats with different sets of jets. We purchased the Grandee because it is a little deeper and I am tall, so it is very comfortable for me. We purchased some spa pillows just in case the seats are too deep for our guests. 3 seats are deeper, and 3 seats are higher so everyone can find the right spot that fits them.
Covana offers several electronic covers, but we selected Evolution model because it fits the Grandee Hot Tub. We added in shades that automatically give you privacy with the ability to open each side. This electronic cover is a life changer and is so easy to just insert the key in the keypad and in minutes you are enjoying your spa. It keeps your spa cleaner and seals in the heat saving energy.
We stained and sealed the concrete slab which sets off our hot tub. I made planter boxes and added plants with lights so it’s a very relaxing oasis in our back yard.
We are enjoying our spa daily; it is like you are on vacation every day.

This is our second Hot Spring hot tub. This one is finally salt water. We love it and the great feel to our skin and hair. Always great alone or with friends. Can't imagine not having one.

Very poor manufacturing

Five years after first purchasing our Hotsprings Grandee hot tub in 2018, we are having to replace.
Let me explain.
Purchasing their top model the Hotsprings Grandee is a huge investment, and we did so based on Hotsprings reputation which we were well aware of. We had purchased one in our prior family home in Napa California which we were very happy with.
Not so with this latest Grandee model.
We have had to replace the cracked LCD screen on the control panel eight times at an enormous cost. The panel cracks when the hot tub cover hits it. Which happens every time you close the lid. The lid is quite heavy even with the optional sliding hinge which we had installed.
The issue now is major leaking. After great trouble lifting the tub up and removing all the side panels, and laboriously chipping the spray foam insulation out so we could access all the jet lines, we discovered that the problem was not external, but inside the shell of the tub. You see, all of the gaskets around the jets were cracked. You would think it would be any easy fix right? No-the gaskets are not removable. Calling Hotsprings directly, I am told to surround each jet with silicone caulk. They recommend a particular brand. They are aware of this issue with the faulty gaskets on each of the 49 jets in this model. Our maintenance team pointed out that the fact that we are being recommended a type of sealant shows that Hotsprings is aware of the problem and is trying to shirk responsibility as a company by passing the burden to their customers instead of doing the right thing and acknowledging the manufacturer defect.
So disappointing.

At my age {58} and living in a ski town, my body has benefited immensely from my HotSpring spa. Morning sunrises are enhanced when watching them from my hot tub. The starry nights in the mountains seem even more bright while soaking. Even better are my ski days when I can rejuvenate after making turns all day. Our 4 kids and their spouses love coming home most weekends during ski season and our HotSpring spa is a gathering place to relive the day on the mountain. One of the best purchases I have ever made!

Grandee Tub is well worth it

This tub has all the bells and whistles that are needed.
I wish I was given the option to purchase the feature to control the tub wirelessly. The only drawback IMO is if the tub needs to be serviced, there shouldn't be a charge for a service call.

I should have never waited so long to get the Grandee. My family and myself enjoy it every day. It's amazing jets and water quality make it such a pleasure to use. Water care is really simple as well and I am the envy of all my friends when they see the spa and the water.

Worst Purchase Ever

My unit is 5-6 years old now. Repairs started within first two months (I believe it was within the first 4 weeks but am being generous here) and have continued to this day. I have had: rusted jets replaced, pillow cushions replaced, controller replaced 3-4 times, heater replaced (needs new one again now), ACE system replaced every 18 months, speakers replaced, control panel replaced (I believe that is what it is called) and these are just the FEW items that come to mind. Currently, I am waiting service to replace light which is leaking my unit out, a heater replacement and possibly another ACE salt system replacement which they cannot currently assess due to state of the unit. I previously asked for a replacement unit multiple times, while I was still in warranty, but I was denied. I am now on a mission to share my misery and experience with every person possible. I am in a couple HotSpring customer chats and it appears many owners of newer tubs are very unhappy while owners of older units (6+ years old) seem to have gotten better quality units. Not all seem as horrible as mine though. I spent $17k to purchase this unit and have put almost that much into it in repairs. I HATE THIS TUB!
