Great Tub, POOR Freshwater Salt System!!!

I've owned Hot Spring Spas since 1997. just bought the Envoy in 2020, and decided to include the Freshwater Salt System. Dealer/Repair person who is great has been out 3 times since August! I am very unhappy with it!!!!! Manufacturer should make good on this issue - either fix whatever is wrong of return my money for the salt system.....I look forward to hearing from you.

Owned our Envoy now for 2yrs. Fabulous to jump in after a workout or long cycle (quick shower before of course LOL) wouldn’t be without it. We blame our friends who purchased a house with the exact same tub already installed!!

What’s missing from a Hot Springs hot tub

The product is made well. Easy to clean. Very happy with the product. However what is missing from this excellent product? A pump,a simple pump that would allow you to change your water. This would facilitate more cleanings,having safer water without much time loss by the customer. A submersible pump incorporated into the spa, now it is perfect.

Please research before buying. I love Hot Spring Spas the quality is great. This is the 2nd one I’ve owned but this model is so hard to get in and out of. There is no actual step to get in, it is the lounger you’re have to step on to get it. I have a bad back so it is really hard to get in and you have to be careful not to slip in and fall. My 83 year old father lives with me and was another reason i bought this, he cannot get in at all. I also had a friend slip on the lounger as he was getting out and fell on his head, split it open. and got a concussion. Again great tub when you are actually in but be aware it is not for the unfit! My old Hot spring actually had a step to get in and was great. Please be aware before buying, especially for the price. If I could return it I would

Comfortable and Always Hot - but 2 issues...

So far, we love our new 2020 Envoy.
It's always on, always hot.
However, we've had a couple issues. First, our salt cartridge expired after 1 month, instead of the promised 4 months. Second, something smells like burning plastic after the tub has been on for at least 15 minutes. I noticed it, as well as my guests.
So far, customer service has been great. Everyone has been very helpful, even providing a complimentary salt cartridge replacement.
I'm sure we'll get it worked out. Hot Springs has had spas in our family for 30 years.

Wish I would of bought one years ago. The Bad: Wasn’t as clean as I thought it should have been, had to clean up some left over RTV that could have been wiped up better. In the foot well where the heated water comes in at the screen/cap came off twice but seems to be ok now, This morning the display ring came off of one of the jets where your knees go on the lounger. Two of the filters are really close to one another so you need to be careful with reinstalling them. I didn’t pay close enough attention the fist time and when I pulled them out again one of them was broken. The Good: Pumps/Jets are very powerful and can be adjusted to focus on those painful spots. High quality parts that should last for years to come. Haven’t had it long enough to get a good read on the electric bill yet. Overall I’m sure we made the right decision on spending the extra money on a high quality spa and we do love it. Wanted to give 5 Stars but just couldn’t with the few issues that we had and they were small because I was able to take care of them myself.

We have had the envoy almost three years and remain very impressed. It is so easy to manage the chemicals. The tub almost takes care of itself. If this one ever wears out we will be customers for life. Highly recommend without reservations.

My envoy was great until 2 years ago. Started leaking, the moto massage has broke, and now the jet pump 1 has quit. I bought it new in 2013 so only 7 years and having big problems with it. So disappointed because my last Hot Spring Tiger River didn’t give my one problems the 17 years I owned it. I only bought another one because I moved. The design of the panels is ridiculous. Why have only 1 panel you can remove to check things out. Have tried using different stop leaks and none have worked. A lot of money spent to be short lived without problems; extremely disappointed.

this is my second Envoy Hot Springs Spa.... the first is about 15 years old. When we bought a new house, I ordered our new Envoy. I especially like the Lounge feature, and the way the water spouts display various colors. I like the jets stages and the light show.

fantastic spa that could use improvements to bring it over the top: 1) remote control 2) more intuitive module screen - eg, no time out on electrode setting 3) much better tutorial on water chemistry - especially in regard to cholrine level maintenance - I am a toxicologist with lots of chemistry background and have a difficult time maintaining chlorine levels - need to do much on my own intuition as the manual is totally lacking in necessary detail to guide the uninitiated in proper wate maintenance

I'm a first time spa owner and purchased the Highlife line because I wanted a quality saltwater system and was told the maintenance on the Envoy would be easy. Nearly one year later, I can only say the experience has been a nightmare. The salt system does not produce chlorine and has not worked for a single day. The dealer has been out many times and cannot get it to work. I have spent more time maintaining and trying to get it to work than I've spent enjoying the tub. Last winter it would periodically turn itself off and I was unable to go away for a weekend for fear of it freezing. Aside from these problems, the Envoy tub itself is an amazing tub. I love the size, the layout and the jets, particularly the foot jets. If the salt system worked, it would be fantastic. As it is, I have spent my savings on a tub that doesn't work and has caused a ton of anxiety.

I was a hot tub owner for years and while I enjoyed it I hated the complexities of keeping it balanced and thought I’d never own another one again because of the hassle. Thanks to friends telling me about the salt system tubs by HotSpring I invested in the Envoy and cannot believe how incredibly easy it is to maintain and enjoy! I did a lot of homework before purchasing and besides the technology of this system being attractive, the sales and service by the Great Atlantic Hot Tub owner and his team validated my decision to buy. I couldn’t be more pleased with my tub and have used it more in the first month than I could imagine. This adds another level of enjoyment and relaxation to staying home.
