Have had nothing but problems since day one. Had to get a replacement due to cracking. New one is no better. IQ and Salt systems are a joke. Currently Working to return for full refund. Definately not worth the price. Waiting almost a month for refund decision.

We love our Vanguard spa. i love the salt system so much. when you get out you don’t feel like you smell like chlorine. it is very comfortable and roomy for plenty of adults. It is a little more care than i realized but once we got the salt level right it has been a little easier to maintain. I definitely recommend getting one.

I use my Vanguard virtually DAILY. It is the experience I have wanted for years. I feel good about having this high quality spa. It is the absolute perfect way to end the day... DAILY. I'm so happy I got it!

Terrible build quality

Bought a Vanguard less than 3 months ago and it’s been a comedy of issues since purchase. Most recently our circulation pump died last week and I had to escalate with the local dealer twice to get a service appointment sooner than 2 weeks out to get it fixed (supposed to be coming today). This is my third tub I’ve owned over the years and am so far extremely disappointed in the apparent build quality compared to my prior Clearwater and Coast. Parts shouldn’t be dying less than 3 months in and it shouldn’t take an insane amount of effort to get speedy service especially given Watkins’ closed ecosystem.

Until you've experienced what it feels like to be up to your neck in 100 degree water at night in the dead of winter with snow swirling around you and bubbling water soothing away every ache & pain! I LOVE MY HOT SPRING SPA!

Retail Customer Service is a HUGE DISAPPOINMENT

While the spa is just OK, We will NEVER purchase from Bachmann Pools and Spas again. I will not refer anyone ever.
Their customer service was shotty to begin with trying to purchase the spa. The lady we worked with was not in the office daily to return calls or emails.
We have received ZERO communication from them after purchasing a $20,000 spa! NOT a Thank you, not a hello, how are you enjoying it, not a concern as to whether we got it set up correctly. They literally just install it and walk away. We were responsible for filling it and figuring out the water chemicals etc.
NEVER AGAIN!

We enjoy the spa but the cartridge system that measures the water levels has never been right from day one. For example, the system display will say that there’s zero chlorine and when I test it with the strips there’s actually too much chlorine. Same thing with the PH levels, it’s always off! One of the reasons we spent so much money on this spa was for the water monitor feature and it never works!

Happy we purchased this one without the lounger it gives us a better view of the yard and Stars because two of the seats face away from the house compared to the lounger that was under the eave. Great water with the new salt system with pH, salt and chlorine monitors. Having fun for 20 minutes every morning watching the stars now that it is dark and the sun rising in the summer.

We love our Vanguard spa! It has been amazing to be able to take some time for ourselves at the end of the day to soak and relax. The varying jets are a nice touch and my husband, and I each appreciate that.
The only issue we have had is with the saltwater care system as it does not seem to work with our hard well water as the readings on it do not match with the manual readings we take or that are completed by another spa dealer. It wants us to add ph increaser but the ph level is usually too high. We did tell the salesman that we had well water and he said that would not be a problem.

This spa is very sophisticated. The water features, colors and built-in music system are spectacular. Salt water makes this spa gentler on the skin than traditional hot tubs.

Owning two businesses, my husband and I truly needed a way to escape from our responsibilities, and having our saltwater spa has truly been the end all solution for us. We love to travel and escape, however, work won't always let us do that, so to be able to step into the spa right our our backdoor has brought a new and much needed peace to our lives.

I had this hot tub for 17 years and hadn't problems until year 16. I just had the hot tub rebuilt by a local retail location for 3k and it is like new again! Rebuilt the complete frame replacing all the wood and sealed the wood. New cover, heater, circuit board and this is just what I know of. Looking forward to another 10+ years of use,I hope :) They stand behind their products and was told they try to support for 20 years after sale.

Just wanted to say thanks for always taking good care of us and our spa needs. It took 5 years before we had our 1st issue. Tyler got here on the scheduled fix-it day, within the expected time frame. What a nice, knowledgeable, patient young man! He took great care of us...fixed our issue, answered every question + explained everything I needed to do to get the spa back to it's normal operation. Nice to know your company doesn't forget about their customers =).

Best decision we have ever made, we have enjoyed all of the positive aspects of our spa. Allows us to incorporate, stress relief, maximizes pain n joint therapy, and the sleep aide is out of this world.
Only regret I have is not purchasing a Hot Springs Spa earlier!!

IQ system does not work

We like our spa but the salt IQ system does not work properly. Keeps telling us that the chlorine level is low and the Ph is low even when the test strips say the opposite. Working with our dealer but they are getting stonewalled by Watkins. It’s a lot more work to keep the spa running than we were promised at the sale.

The salt water system is much better than we could have imagined. We were perfectly happy with the 9 year old spa. But now compared to the new Vanguard and the salt water system, our skin does not have that chemical chlorine feeling that we use to feel.
The jets are in great places. We really like the ease of the control pad also.

We replaced our 16-year-old Vanguard hot tub with a new Vanguard 3 months ago. While the old served us very well, the new is absolutely awesome. While the technology advances (jets, quietness, lights, etc.) continue to amaze us, the absolute best feature is the new Fresh Water Salt System. Once up and running, the system has been virtually maintenance free with daily usage. We test water weekly and tweak as necessary, but otherwise just enjoy. The added benefit of the soft water is that it is so gentle on our skin.
